ADVANCE offers a variety of opportunities for men to interact, learn, grow and serve so that we become better equipped as disciples in our homes, communities and places of employment. PAST EVENTS:
GOOD FRIDAY BREAKFAST 2010
On April 2, 2010 ADVANCE hosted the annual Good Friday Men's
Breakfast at the Hanover Marriott on Route 10 in Whippany. More than 500 men heard the testimony of this
year's featured speaker, former organized crime boss Michael Franzese.
As a member of the Colombo crime family Michael masterminded various
scams on legitimate businesses, earning millions of dollars for "the
Family". Not surprisingly, he became the target of federal
prosecutors who sought to put him in prison for decades. God had other
plans and Michael was introduced to a beautiful dancer named Cammy who
shared her belief in God and convinced Michael to plead guilty and
walk away from the mob. Michael spent seven years in prison where a
guard gave him a Bible and he joined a different "family", the family
of God through trusting in Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. Michael's compelling story is available in book, audio and video form on his website, www.michaelfranzese.com and the video from the breakfast can be seen at the following link:

SUPER SATURDAY MEN'S BREAKFAST
On Saturday February 6, 2010 (day before the Super Bowl) ADVANCE held a "Super Saturday" Men's Breakfast in the Ministry South Building, featuring two professional football players who are part of the Chapel family. Bill Neill, former NY Giant and his son, Ryan, currently with the St. Louis Rams and former Rutgers Captain/All American, shared their experiences in professional football and in particular their roles as Christian athletes in the highly competitive world of the NFL.
"ADVANCE THRU THE MONEY MINEFIELD"
Last October ADVANCE sponsored a workshop/briefing on the current financial crisis and presented several speakers who offered strategies for men to consider in handling debt reduction, investments, financial-related stress, and job searches. Many of the strategies were from a Biblical perspective, and from guys who are actively engaged in those areas of work. If you would like a copy of the audio or materials, let us know through the contact page.
GOOD FRIDAY BREAKFAST 2009 Last April, ADVANCE, sponsored its annual Good Friday Men's breakfast and more than 550 men attended the event at the Hanover Marriott in Whippany. Those in attendance were treated to featured speaker Tom Joyce, a former Navy TOPGUN F-14 pilot who also survived the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon. After helping save others, Tom made his way home that night and prayed with his family. His teenage son asked him a very meaningful question: "Dad, what are you going to do with the rest of your life?" Tom has since become a pastor helping men and families grow in Christ. To view an hour long video of the breakfast, including some of the music, pictures and Tom's full message, follow this link:
JOIN A "UNIT" (Small Group)
